Making Business Fun

One of the most common reasons for small business failure is burn-out. The entrepreneur pushes and pushes and pushes until she’s so stressed out she can hardly think straight. Last week, the Intuit Small Business Blog offered these tips for making business fun and helping to avoid that burnout:

  • Reduce stress. Find ways to reduce your stress and your employees’ stress.
  • Deepen relationships. Create a positivity that customers will want to be around.
  • Improve office relations. Create optional events where employees can help build camaraderie.
  • Open lines of communication. Embrace humor, be able to laugh at yourself, and thereby create a relaxed work environment.
