Connecting QuickBooks with Sage ACT!

Sage ACT! is to CRM what QuickBooks is to accounting software, so it’s only natural that businesses would want to integrate functionality between the two. To do so, you need a third party tool. One of the newest tools to do this is Xact Accounting Link, from Xact Software in New Zealand.

There’s a recent post over at The Sleeter Group which takes a closer look at Xact Accounting Link. The software provides tools within ACT! to give all sorts of relevant data to your sales team. Everything from previous sales to estimates to invoices can be accessed on the fly.

The software has some limitations that may or may not work for you. First off, it’s designed primarily to work by pushing information from QuickBooks to Sage ACT!, not the other direction. Additionally, the remote access options are somewhat limited (unless you’re running ACT! on the same computer as QuickBooks). For businesses that can work with those restrictions, it seems to be a good solution.
