One of the biggest challenges small business face is becoming stagnate. It’s easy to hit a successful stride and go no further.

John Warrillow has some interesting ideas about overcoming that lack of growth at the blog. He offers three basic models toward breaking into a growth stride:

1.      Scale your business upward by focusing on a specific product or service and pumping resources into sales.

2.      Focus on becoming greater, rather than big. Great companies naturally become big.

3.      Be a guru. Instead of building a traditional company, build your personal brand.

Warrillow notes that the three are usually mutually exclusive, so you need to choose one and focus on it.
